Do You Know Your Body-Type?  An Introduction to Ayurveda

Ayurveda means “The science of life”.  Come to this 7 week class prepared to expand your knowledge of your own personal body-type or “dosha”.  Explore how your choices in what you eat, think, feel, and do are influencing radiant health or imbalance in each moment.  You will learn how to understand the language of your body so you can make informed choices in your life that will help you to move towards peace, happiness, and good health.  This weekly class will be presented in a lecture format with exercises and discussion to increase your awareness of your body-mind connection according to this ancient medicine of India.  No yoga experience is required.

Topics covered: Your personal Dosha type and how to balance it through diet, exercise and lifestyle choices, ayurvedic daily routine,  yoga postures and simple ayurvedic herbs for dosha type.
