with Rebecca Considine, RYT

Mandalas are configurations of geometric patterns & flowing design, layered with symmetry and meaning. They are often circular in nature (the word mandala in Sanskrit means 'circle'). Mandalas can take hours to create and then shortly after, are destroyed. Their design and the work of making them is a meditative process, symbolizing the state of mind you would like to achieve.

In this 2.5 hour workshop, Rebecca will guide you through a brief history of the Mandala as well as what it represents. You will then have the opportunity to create your own mandala based on a personal intention. Rebecca will lead you through a series of yoga postures that will direct the shapes and colors you might use for your Mandala as you layer design and meaning into your own creation.

You will leave with a completed Mandala and a handout on Mandala history and information to inspire your own personal creation. At the end there will be snacks and an opportunity to share your reflection on the journey! Paper and coloring utensils will be provided, however please feel free to bring your own if you feel called to do so. No need to be an artist to participate in this workshop; it’s all about the journey rather than the destination.
