If you have ever wanted to dissect the yoga practice more thoroughly, to understand what is happening with your body and how to create the shapes of the postures from a functional anatomy standpoint, this class is for you. You will learn how to create stability in your shoulders (the most mobile joint in the body) while also creating active mobility that opens the chronically tight areas through the neck and chest.
You will learn relevant anatomy, how to activate and support your body, exploring different poses, shapes and functional movements that draw you toward alignment. This is a community-based practice where you can expect laughter, learning, partner work and unique opportunities to have a-ha moments that will forever change your practice going forward.
You will emerge from classes with a greater awareness of the body in addition to the refreshed, grounded and centred mind-frame every yoga class creates!
