Yoga Nidra is an invitation to witness your body, mind and spirit in the present moment and gently abide with everything that comes across your field of awareness. To become consciously and truly relaxed in your body, with full awareness, is not a common state that we find ourselves in as we tend to our busy lives. In this class, we will begin by connecting as a group and exploring what you truly want (sankalpa) in dyads (pairs). Then we will dive into the practice of Yoga Nidra while resting in a supported relaxation pose. There will be opportunities to journal following the practice, and to connect and share about your experience. Join us for this beautiful and insightful deep dive that will reconnect you to your deepest intention and to your innate sense of self.

About Taylyr Lively

Taylyr began her exploration of the body within the container of yoga. She furthered her practice by taking her 200hr yoga teacher training to balance out her Bachelor of Science degree she took at Mount Royal University. Struggling to find her footing in the world of science after completing her degree she wanted to work hands on with people and took her 2200 hr Massage Diploma. Since then she has completed her Yoga Nidra training, Numa Somatic Breathwork training and other trauma-informed courses to help deepen her understanding of the mind, body and spirit.

After finishing her schooling she moved to Victoria in hopes of finding her “people”. She grew a successful massage practice at a beautiful multi-disciplinary clinic and also ran a small mobile massage business. During covid and the shutdowns she took the opportunity to shift gears and dive into the world of conscious connected breathwork and yoga nidra. Taylyr was absolutely amazed by how evocative and intense the practice of conscious connected breathwork was. She experienced deep healing and transformation as she entered into these altered states of consciousness by only breathing in and out of her mouth. It was from this point that she felt her massage practice wasn’t creating the lasting effects she hoped to heal her clients' pains. So she left her practice and sold all her belongings after meeting her soulmate and off they went traveling the world for 2 years before settling in Parkland County and buying their first home together. She is currently starting her own online business (Lively Wellness) to offer these practices of discovery and embodiment to the world.

It is Taylyr’s deep seated belief that healing occurs when you touch on the biopsychosocial aspects of your lived experience. It takes going beyond the ego and conscious mind to access what is held in your body to understand how and why it became planted in your mind as a limiting belief. In order to tap into these forms of discovery there needs to be a safe container, a curiosity to go within and a willingness to incorporate the teachings of your own wisdom into your everyday life. Taylyr loves guiding people into these spaces that allow for deep transformation to occur when people are willing to show up and do the work. She is here to listen, honour and hold space for each individual's manifestation of their limiting beliefs and to gently move beyond them.
