Registered Yoga Teacher
My Yoga journey began many years ago. I have been practicing for over 12 years and teaching for over 8 years. I love teaching and guiding others, helping people find the tools to navigate all the obstacles life throws our way. I have often struggled to manage stress and anxiety myself, and I thank the universe every day for bringing Yoga in to my life.
Five years ago I experienced the depths of grief for the first time in my life. I lost my mother to cancer after a very hard and short battle. It completely shattered me. I honestly don't know where I would be right now or how I would have managed without the tools I have gained through my Yoga journey. I hope to inspire others and help them find their way through life's challenges, even if it's just finding a bit of stillness and peace at the end of the day. In this fast paced, ever-evolving world we live in nowadays, I think it's more important than ever to take time for ourselves, even if it's just a few moments a day. It makes such a big difference and we owe it to ourselves.
Over the years, I have continued my training, becoming certified in Kids Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yin Yoga, Meditation, as well as having taught a variety of different styles of Yoga including Vinyasa and Hatha. I love how each class can be so different and challenge both the mind and body in different ways. I enjoy witnessing these changes each time I show up to my mat, as well as seeing those subtle changes in my students who continue to practice and show up for themselves. It is the best honor and privilege to be a teacher and to make a difference in the lives of others.
Just this past year I took a training to become certified to counsel in grief and aspire to create my own holistic program to aid others on their healing journey through grief using a variety of holistic modalities including Yoga and meditation.
Beyond Yoga, I am the wife to an amazing husband, my high school sweetheart. We have been together over 13 years now, married for almost 6, and have two beautiful children together. I aspire to travel more throughout my life and also have a big dream to write a book one day!
