Restorative yoga is a supportive, gentle, intuitive and deeply calming practice that incorporates long-held poses where the body is held by props to promote relaxation in the nervous system, mind and body. In this 20 hour training, you will learn: - the roots of restorative yoga and its relevance and application in modern times - the benefits and implications of restorative yoga on the body, mind and nervous system - how to structure and sequence restorative yoga classes - restorative posture breakdowns including cueing, modifications and precautions - how to assist students within the poses and prop adaptation - the energetic quality of supporting students within a restorative practice - post-class considerations and additions to specialize your offerings This course is a combination of restorative practice, theory and hands-on group and partner collaboration. Upon completion you will be fully certified to teach restorative yoga classes. A manual is included in the training. This training qualifies as 20 hours of Continuing Education Credits with Yoga Alliance.
